A/n: This is a Male!Reader x Male character story.

Izuku P.O.V
I was so confident in front of everyone before, but now that (F/n)-kun is here I'm so nervous I can barely take any notes. I thought he’d be much scarier, but he looks really kind and whenever I look over at him he seems calm and focused on the class. But I can't stop thinking about all the things I had written down from all the news reports I saw last year about how he used his powers when he fought against the pro heroes.

He effortlessly controlled the metal around the city and turned it into a weapon, caused a blackout with his electrical powers and even held down the heroes who had even a bit of metal on their costumes with his magnetism. His powers were amazing and he was even able to fight some of the without using his quirk.

“Midoriya?” I heard Iida call me as he tapped my shoulder, waking me up from thoughts. “Are going to come to lunch with us?” He asked pointing to the door behind him.

“Are you ok, Izuku?” Uraraka asked, looking a bit worried.

I must have been lost in my thoughts again and didn’t even notice the class had emptied out as the bell had rung and everyone left for lunch without me even noticing.

“I-I’m fine, just a little distracted.” I told them as I got up and followed them out to the cafeteria.

After we had gotten our food we started looking for somewhere to sit, but the lunch room seemed even fuller than usual today. A lot of tables had students sitting tightly against each other and there were even people eating while standing up.

“Is it just me or is it much more crowded in here today than normal?” Iida asked looking around.

“Yeah, it’s weird right? What do you guy’s think happened?” Uraraka asked.

“Maybe there was a special dish earlier and everyone came running at same time.” I said looking for any hints to what had happened.

When I found the reason why everyone was so grouped together I froze up and barely heard what Iida and Uraraka were saying.

(L/n)-kun was sitting down all alone eating his lunch at a table and some of the tables around him were empty as well.

I knew that the rest of the school would find out about him sooner or later and that they might not be as accepting as our class was, but to go this far to stay away from him just because he was a villain was a bit too much and it mad my chest feel tight.

“Oh my.” Iida said when he realized the situation.

“I didn’t think people would react this badly to having a former villain transfer in.” Uraraka said looking down sadly.

“We weren’t any better when we first heard he’d be joining our class. If it weren’t for Midoriya reminding us what it means to be a hero we might have ended up treating him the same way.” Iida said.

“Let’s go sit with him.” I said looking at them to see if they would follow me.

“Of course, we can’t let one of our classmates sit all by himself can we?” Uraraka said smiling and Iida nodded with her.

I was going to walk over there even if they had said no, but having them come with me made me feel much more relaxed while walking through the crowd of students who were trying to stay as far from him as possible. It was hard to believe that all of them wanted to be heroes the way they were talking about him.

“I can’t believe they actually let a villain into Yuuei I thought it was just a rumor to scare us.”

“I thought they were going to give him private classes away from the main building or something not let him stay around us, he’s too dangerous isn’t he?”

“There’s no way I can eat with him here.”

“Did they have to let the most dangerous villain our age in? Couldn’t they have just brought in some petty thief or something?”

“This is too much even for Yuuei I don’t think I’ll even be able to study properly if he stays.”

Everyone we passed was saying something bad about him without even giving him a chance. I wanted to say something back at them but held back since it might make things worse if I said something without thinking.

Reader P.O.V
I had gotten so used the terrible food back at the juvenile detention that eating the great food that Yuuei served made me smile even while everyone else was glaring at me from every direction. I knew that not all the students were going to welcome me with open arms but having them actually get up from eating their food to get away from me hurt more than I thought it would. They probably think I’m too dangerous to even be close to, though hearing them whispering about me was the worst part.

“Um… Excuse me.” I heard someone call to me. It was the boy with freckles and the messed up hair from class… Midoriya I think his name was, the only student who had actually talked to me since I got here. “Is it ok if we sit with you?”

For a second I thought it was a joke to tease me, but seeing the genuine smile on his face and on the two behind him I decided to give him a chance.

“Sure, go ahead.” I said softly.

He sat next to me while the other boy and the girl sat across from us. They introduced themselves and so did Midoriya again to make sure I had remembered his name.

“I hate to point out the elephant in the room, but are you ok with how everyone is acting?” Uraraka asked.

“I’m not ok with it at all really.” I told her honestly. “But I did hurt a lot of people when I was villain so it’s natural for most people to be afraid of me.”

“Even if you did do something bad in the past it doesn’t give people the right to treat you like this.” Midoriya said a bit flustered. It looked like he was more annoyed than I was at how everyone was looking over and talking to themselves about me.

“I’m afraid not everyone thinks it’s that easy Midoriya.” I told him. “It’s going to take a long time before people can trust me to use my quirk. So that means I’m going to have to work that much harder than everyone else if I want to succeed.”

“Then you and I aren’t so different after all.” He said with a determined look. “My quirk is a bit impractical and if I’m not careful in how I use it, it ends up nearly breaking my body.”

“That’s true I’ve never seen a quirk quite like it before. Midoriya has already been to the nurse a few times because of injuries from his own quirk.” Iida explained, leaving Midoriya’s face bright red.

I had never heard of quirk with such a deadly drawback that it left its user with broken bones before. Every quirk no matter how powerful has draws back due to the users body, but I only thought the worst ones left their users sick or something. Although everyone here is dead scared of my electromagnetic force, it has a seriously annoying draw back like anyone else.

“Your quirk sounds pretty dangerous for everyone, doesn’t it?” I asked teasing him a bit.

“W-well you see i-it’s just that…” I nearly broke out laughing at seeing him get so flustered.

“But that makes it really amazing in its own way.” I told him.

“Y-you think?” he asked, still stuttering with a light blush covering his cheeks.

“Yeah, if your quirk leaves you in such a bad state and you still got into the hero course then that just shows you how strong you really are.” Thanks to Midoriya and his friends I was able to completely forget about all the other students who just kept staring at us and enjoyed my lunch with them.

When we left the lunch room I could hear the other students talking about me even more, but this time they were talking about Midoriya, Iida and Uraraka who had sat down and eaten with me as well.

“What’s wrong with those three don’t they know he’s a villain?”

“I bet he’s threatening them, there’s no way any real hero would be so friendly with someone like him.”

“Should we tell a teacher? He isn’t allowed to talk to us regular students, is he?”

“Maybe he’s using his powers on them to make them his friends.”

I was ready for anything that they might say about me, but I didn’t think that anyone who came close to me would be talked about like this too.

“You alright (L/n)-kun?” Uraraka asked looking back at me while she and Iida walked in front of me and Midoriya.

“I guess I ended up dragging you guys down with me, huh?” I asked bowing my head.

“There’s no need to worry about any of that, we’re the ones who wanted to sit with you.” Midoriya said.

“Still I feel like I caused you a lot of trouble… sorry and thanks.” I said happily.

“U-um th-there’s really no need to thank or us or apologize!” Midoriya said in a panic. “I’m just glad to see you’re ok now. I was a bit scared that everyone treating like that might have put you down.”

“Well then let me thank you again for taking care of me Midoriya-san.” I said grinning to tease him one more time.

“I-it was nothing, I’m happy I could help you out (F/n)-kun!”

I was surprised to hear his concerns and seeing him flustered again was still funny. I thought it was going to take a lot longer to be able to make friends, especially after what happened at lunch before Midoriya, Iida and Uraraka joined me.

When we got back to class I saw that most of the class had already gotten back from lunch so all of them looked over at us when we walked in. I was expecting them to go back to their conversations but instead most of them came running up to us. I was ready to be yelled at or maybe even attacked for getting Midoriya and the others involved with the rumors being spread back at the cafeteria but instead they started apologizing to me.

“(F/n) are you are all right?!” Kirishima asked as he ran up to me and started looking over me. “You’re not hurt anywhere are you?”

“I’m fine. But aren’t you mad at me?” I asked, a bit confused.

“Huh, why would we be mad at you?” Yaoyorozu asked.

“Everyone’s going to start spreading rumors about Midoriya because he sat with me at lunch, so I thought you were going to be angry.”

“What? No way would be upset with you because of something like that.” Kaminari said, smiling as he walked over.

“We actually thought you were going be angry at us for not helping you out when you needed us.” Kirishima said, nervously as he stood beside me.

“We wanted to go over to you when we saw everyone get up and walk away, but before we could we got trapped in our seats when a few students cramped around our table.” Jiro said, acting a bit shy.

“You guys wanted to sit with me too?” I asked pointing at myself a bit unsure of what I was hearing.

“Yeah, but things got out of hand and we couldn’t even get out of our seats. So we were really relieved when we saw those three sitting with you.” Kaminari said, scratching his cheek.

“Still you all getting stuck because of the other student’s behavior was really inconsiderate on their part. Not only was it incredibly rude to (F/n) but it could have caused another accident.” Iida said.

“So is it okay with you if we eat lunch together tomorrow?” Yaoyorozu asked.

“That sounds fun! It’ll be great eating with everyone.” Uraraka said, charging in and pushing Midoriya on to me by accident.

He tried to hide it but I could see how happy he was to see me getting along with everyone.

Before any of us could say anything else the door flew up and All Might burst through.

“Good afternoon students, I hope you’re all ready for another exciting hero experience!” most of the class started cheering in response.

The first half of my first day was a bit tough but my class was able to cheer me up, now was the moment I’ve been waiting for, a chance to use my quirk in a new and heroic way.
